Blue Chip means “Excellence.”  At  Blue Chip Cookies it’s not just a phrase, but a way of doing business. Excellence is selection, quality, ingredients, taste, customer service, employees, stores and network of franchises. From the beginning it was obvious that Blue Chip Cookies was not going to be just another cookie store. When Matt and Lori Nader opened the doors of the first store on San Francisco’s Fisherman’s Wharf  in March 1983,over 28 years ago,  the public immediately fell in love with the aroma and taste of these unique gourmet cookies. By introducing the White Chocolate Macadamia Nut Cookie to the United States, Blue Chip Cookies began its history of offering innovative, new tastes in addition to such standards as the much loved Chocolate Chip Cookie.

In 2005, Donna Drury and Bob Heine  purchased Blue Chip Cookies to continue the tradition of excellence.  They only needed two reasons to buy the company: 1) It has over 25 awesome cookies and 2) Blue Chip Cookies is a great name!  The number one priority is and will be to continue to deliver this delicious tradition of Blue Chip Cookies, “Best Cookie is the Country™. Drury says…”The internet provides us with the unique opportunity to share Blue Chip Cookies with the world.  Our cookies are truly a “Box of Happiness and Smiles!  Everyone loves cookies, but Blue Chip is not just your ordinary cookie, it is the BEST!”

In 2009/2010 two new locations have opened in Wilkes-Barre, PA and Loveland, Ohio.  In addition, the expansion of the online business and corporate gift program continues to grow, as more customers discover “The Best Cookie in the Country.”
